Why would a company, your company, your property want an access control system??  Perhaps the question should be why WOULDN'T you want one?

Access control is not a new concept.  We've used keys to get into buildings and properties for years.  We use remote controls to access a gated community.  The controls are continually becoming more advanced, and this can only be a good thing.  When the only option for controlling a building's access were keys, anyone could make copies of their keys, and suddenly, the property was no longer secure.  Now, with an updated system, employees or tenants use a card to access the front door, and closed circuit cameras record the transaction for future reference, and the host pc tells you WHO came in WHICH door and WHAT time.

A little about why you might want one, in the words of some of our employees:

• Access control systems help you limit and monitor access to your business so that you can better protect valuable assets, sensitive areas, and staff. 

• Access control systems are becoming more than just access control and alarm monitoring systems, many of the systems are becoming a Complete Security Management System.  These systems include access control, CCTV, Intrusion detection, Photo ID badging, employee time tracking, visitor badging and asset management.  All of these are easily managed through some type of centrally networked configuration.

• Access control lets you make an honest effort at controlling who comes and goes through a portal, be it a gate, a door, a turnstile, etc.

• It is a choice to be made by the management of any property, who has access to certain space and who doesn't.
